goa diary: la plage
The trick to enjoying goa - especially north goa - is to know the best places for food and drink. Except of course if you are one of those lucky people who own a home there!
La plage, an upscale gourmet shack (sounds like such an oxymoron) is absolutely the place to head to for lunch in Ashwem. Enjoy the best of French cooking while your kids rollick in the sand all around and you kick back a few kir royales! The burgers are excellent as are the salads. But the showstopper for me is their mango and beetroot carpaccio. Razor thin slices of both dressed in a simple olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette topped with crumbled feta and walnuts. Absolutely plate-lickablicious!

You seem to have discovered more about Goa in three days than what I did in three years!
Looks so nice.. and were are you staying?
Thanks Dad!
