h, r1, r2 and i went to phoenix mills yesterday evening to check out palladium, the new luxury mall. what a fabulous space for high-end shopping. move over mall of the emirates, IFC mall, mall of america. bombayites need not hop on the next plane out to dubai, hong kong or minneapolis to indulge in some retail therapy. we have it right here now in the heart of lower parel. paul smith, seven for all mankind, the collective boutique for men, rosenthal are just a sampling of some of the big brands that have moved into palladium.
while you are at palladium, make sure you visit the mövenpick ice cream shop to relish one of the finest ice cream brands in the world. this is gourmet ice cream at its finest - the best ingredients, all natural and churned to perfection. r1 and r2 shared a strawberry ice cream, h went for the green apple sorbet and i picked the raspberry and strawberry sorbet. h's pick turned out to be the best of the three we sampled. at rs. 125 for a single scoop, it's not exactly cheap but worth every spoon in my humble opinion. r1 didn't exactly dig this gourmet ice cream though. i think kwality's or baskin robbins work better for kids.
